Preposition Scenes Activities in Voca Quest

Preposition Scenes activities are designed for use with clients within speech and language therapy provision. They have been designed to be used by speech and language therapists and their clients to work on skills relating to comprehension of prepositions. A preposition is a word that tells you where or when something is in relation to something else. Examples include: in, on, under, above, next to. Prepositions can be tricky to learn, so these activities can help clients to grasp them.

3 types of Preposition Scenes activities can be found in Voca Quest:

  • Place the object - A scene is shown. An instruction is shown to place an object in a particular location. The client can drag and drop the object to the correct location.

  • Quiz - A scene is shown with an object placed on it. A sentence will describe the location of one of the objects, but the preposition word is missing. The client will need to choose the missing word from multiple choice questions.

  • Fill in the blanks - A scene is shown with an object placed on it. A sentence will describe the location of one of the objects, but the preposition word is missing. The client will need to fill in the missing word.
